How can it be that another year has already passed? Oh boy! Well, I don’t know about you, but 2014 was quite a full year for us here at Magical Mouse Schoolhouse. My family relocated to the Orlando area late 2013, so we spent much of this past year getting to know our new home state, and, of course, getting to spend as much time at Walt Disney World Resort as possible. We’ve also gotten to attend some wonderful events at SeaWorld Orlando, check out Universal’s City Walk, and explore the myriad of entertainment, educational, and recreational–or as I like to call them, relaxational–destinations across central Florida.
Why don’t you take a look back? Here’s a bit of what the calendar looked like:
January – Disneyland Resort Paris
February – Disneyland Resort (California) Disneyland Park
March & April – Walt Disney World’s Epcot + SeaWorld Orlando
May – a mix of entertainment information + some SeaWorld happenings
June – Walt Disney World’s Blizzard Beach
July – Disney Cruise Line
August – Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Park
September – Disneyland Resort’s Disney’s California Adventure
October – Disney Youth Programs
November – Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park
December – holiday and seasonal fun at Disney Parks
What’s in store for 2015? We’re starting the year off with a focus on getting/staying fit at the Disney Parks. (Yes, it IS possible!) Walt Disney World Marathon weekend is just around the corner. It will be Mr. Magical Mouse Schoolhouse’s first full marathon, so please send pixie dust our way and wish him success. Running is not the only way to stay fit while vacationing at Disney–you’ll see what I mean when January rolls around.
Magical Mouse Schoolhouse will turn 5 years old on February 1st! Stay tuned for a big birthday party and giveaway as we focus on the magic that inspired this site. We’ll honor the Man and his Mouse (Walt and Mickey, of course), feature an interview or two, and show you how much fun your kids–and you–can have as they learn while they play.
March and April will once again bloom at Epcot with the 22nd Annual Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. The Force will take us through May at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we’ll splash down at Typhoon Lagoon in June, and venture overseas to Hong Kong Disneyland in July. Back to Walt Disney World to check out Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom in August and September, then over to Tokyo Disney Resort in October and back to Disneyland Resort in California for November before wrapping up 2015 (that will be here before we know it, ugh) with our annual look at holiday decor and celebrations at the Disney Parks. Orlando area attraction information will be included each month as well.
We’ve also got a fantastic Ultimate Educational Field Trip planned for April 27-May 1, 2015! This special event invites homeschoolers from all walks of life to join us on site at Walt Disney World to take advantage of three course offerings from the Disney Youth Programs! Get all the details and reserve your spot NOW!
We do hope you will follow along each week. Be sure to keep up with what’s happening here at the Schoolhouse by subscribing to our newsletter, liking us on Facebook, and following us on Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and Vine.
